Welcome to the Underground

1994; 83 min.; Fantasy/Western

An outlandish, ultraviolent, hyper-stylized neo-Western following a group of revolutionaries known as the Underground as they wage war against the corrupt town of Shithole.

This peculiar and extremely crass piece of '90s pop art is Bryan Enk's least favorite of his works, though he acknowledges it as a distinct product of its time and place and decades later can't help but marvel at and even admire its sheer brazenness.

Completed in December 1994, Welcome to the Underground had its premiere screening on January 29, 1995 at The Gish Film Theater at Bowling Green State University. â€‹
